So the title may be a bit misleading as we all know that conventional marketing tactics is ultimately what Internet Marketing is built upon. However, there is no denying that Internet Marketing is a different animal all together. On the top of my head I can think of many reasons why I enjoy Internet Marketing way more than non-Internet marketing. Here are four of them:

There is no other place, method or business arena like the Internet when it comes to actually researching a particular market. The tools offered, many free and absolutely sufficient, is extremely effective in narrowing down a niche market.

The amazing thing about the Internet is that it never intended to be a vehicle for making money. Online business purely got born out of the vision of someone who realised the full business potential from an entrepreneurial point of view.

One of the absolute misnomers about the Internet is that it is a playground for the corrupt, those not fit to be part of the free community, those who monger about with no integrity whatsoever. Unfortunately, or fortunately for your sake, that is just one side of the coin. I believe than that which is inanimate, for example money, cannot be corrupt. Being corrupt is a human trade and any system currently available, be it the Internet or the Government, can be abused for personal gain. That being said, the other side of the coin is just as much a reality and it is a personal choice on which you are going to focus. There are rotten apples in every basket.

Should you feel you have the heart of a true entrepreneur, and by implication the constant inclination to make money, I can assure you that online ways are plentiful. There is not one arena in this day and age which levels the playing field for everybody like the internet marketing arena. Basically anybody who can afford an Internet connection can play along. Now that last statement probably eliminates millions of South Africans at this stage. However, our bandwidth is getting cheaper and cheaper. One of these days more of us will be able to participate in the entrepreneurial revolution of the human race as we know it.

South Africa should not sit idly by and watch how millions of dollars, pounds, rands or whatever currency are earned by some other country. We have just as much right to delve into the river of overflowing blessing as anyone else out there. You have to keep in mind that the opportunity of earning online money is no respecter of currencies or boundaries. For me to sit in Pretoria, sunny South Africa and earn American dollars literally while I sleep, is no fairy tale. I think the main problem in our country is probably disbelief in the fact that even a person living in a third world country can make online money from within the comforts of their own home.
