Mashable has just reported on Tecnhorati’s annual report on the state of the Blogosphere. It’s a very informative report to read and gives insights into some interesting trends.
Technorati’s annual State of the Blogosphere report has come out today, and almost everyone has their take on the data and the introduction to the report that’s slated to be released over five days.
A lot of interesting things are revealed in the report, as per usual. The report is broken down into five sections, plus an introduction, that go information like the demographics of the blogosphere, what people’s motivations for blogging are, how people are making money with it, and how it’s being used for marketing.

Google Labs has released what could become a pivotal evolutionary moment in time for the Internet. Google Audio Indexing or GAudi lets you search a given keyword within Youtube videos. This could potentially and probably will change the Internet as we know it.
For Internet Marketers this is just, oh well, absolutely huge. Not to sound over-dramatic, but the impact this could have on your Social Marketing campaigns could be staggering. It could also be al lot of fun as well. You would basically optimise your Youtube videos for specific keywords. Personally, I’m very excited.
At this stage you can only search within political campaigns. I’ve played around with it a bit and it actually works! A nice feature are the bookmarks which will take you directly to all the positions in the video clip where the specific keyword has been used.

As you might know Social Marketing is all about getting out there and join the conversation. Facebook has many, many Internet Marketers using the platform as a Social Marketing tool. This blog post explores the new Beta-Released PeopleJar. Check it out:
PeopleJar, a startup that hopes to help users with similar interests connect using a highly-customizable search engine, has soft launched to the public.
The site is very well done, sporting a clean and intuitive interface, an exhaustively customizable search engine, and generally high production values. After creating a detailed profile that includes information on their education, country of origin, and interests, users can browse through a number of Networks ranging from Science and Technology to Yoga. Each Network behaves much like a Facebook Group, allowing users to post public messages to a Wall, and connect with other members of the same group.
