Jacob Morgan from The Business of Blogging blog wrote an informative post that I would like to share with you. Blogging can be a business, but like any business, it needs work:
A lot of people want to know, “how long?”
How long before I get a lot of traffic to my blog?
How long before I can make money?
How long before I close my blog down if it’s not working?
People need to understand that a blog is just like a business, my blog is just around 8 months old and I am still not 100% satisfied with my traffic levels, design, etc. When you start a blog you are starting from 0, you literally have nothing, just a blank page on which you can start writing. Your traffic levels start from 0 and you have to understand that to make it grow you are going to have to sweat a little.

Google Labs has released what could become a pivotal evolutionary moment in time for the Internet. Google Audio Indexing or GAudi lets you search a given keyword within Youtube videos. This could potentially and probably will change the Internet as we know it.
For Internet Marketers this is just, oh well, absolutely huge. Not to sound over-dramatic, but the impact this could have on your Social Marketing campaigns could be staggering. It could also be al lot of fun as well. You would basically optimise your Youtube videos for specific keywords. Personally, I’m very excited.
At this stage you can only search within political campaigns. I’ve played around with it a bit and it actually works! A nice feature are the bookmarks which will take you directly to all the positions in the video clip where the specific keyword has been used.

As you might know Social Marketing is all about getting out there and join the conversation. Facebook has many, many Internet Marketers using the platform as a Social Marketing tool. This blog post explores the new Beta-Released PeopleJar. Check it out:
PeopleJar, a startup that hopes to help users with similar interests connect using a highly-customizable search engine, has soft launched to the public.
The site is very well done, sporting a clean and intuitive interface, an exhaustively customizable search engine, and generally high production values. After creating a detailed profile that includes information on their education, country of origin, and interests, users can browse through a number of Networks ranging from Science and Technology to Yoga. Each Network behaves much like a Facebook Group, allowing users to post public messages to a Wall, and connect with other members of the same group.

Google Adwords official blog just announced that they are going to enhance the Google Adwords Quality Score mechanism:
In July 2005, AdWords introduced minimum bids for keywords based on Quality Score. This system allows us to show very high quality ads to Google users, while also giving advertisers control over their keywords. Since 2005, we’ve improved Quality Score in many ways, such as the inclusion of landing page quality and landing page load time as factors. Along the way, we’ve also received much helpful feedback from both users and advertisers.
Today, we’d like to let you know of further improvements we’ll introduce in the coming weeks — based, in part, on this feedback. First we’ll outline the key points, and then dive into the details:
